Odgojno-obrazovni prilozi u časopisu Novi behar 1939–1945. godine / Educational and Uplifting Contributions to the Novi Behar Magazine Between 1939 and 1945

Abstract

Novi Behar, a publication for amusing and uplifting the public, was published from 1927 to 1945. As a family-oriented magazine, Novi behar dealt with educational and uplifting topics, as well as religious, political, social, health, literary, and other general themes, with a view to promoting Bosniak social development. Contributors used their texts to influence the development of Bosniak opinion on literacy, schooling, and cultural, political, and religious matters. The editors offe ed room for expression to both the established Bosniak intelligentsia and up-and-coming scholars and writers. This paper presents an analysis of the articles published in Novi Behar between 1939 and 1945 dealing with educational and morally uplifting topics.
